Years ago I remember you could buy packets of down for replenishing worn-out sleeping bags.
I have 6 dead cells in an otherwise lofty bag (was rated for 20 degrees when it was new).
I’ve done a search on the Net but haven’t been able to find these packets.
Short of purchasing a “down” pillow (that would cost just as much as plain buying a new bag) does anyone have a clue where I can get packets?
I’ve heard I can send it back to the manufacturer for a refill, but I’m not even sure who produced it. No receipt and the labels are long gone.

I have one of each, both which are really good. Down packs down really small, but won’t keep you warm if wet. Synthetic’s are more bulky but will keep you warm even if it is wet.
I’m going to glacier for a week and I was wondering which one would be better to use. Is it worth the risk of taking the down bag because it is so small, or should I be safe?

I went camping and my down sleeping bag got wet. How do I dry it without ruining it?

i live in boulder, CO, and am looking at down winter sleeping bags. i have found a relative deal on a -15 degree sleeping bag, but had always told myself that it should be at least -20. any input? i’d like the bag to be warm enough for conditions anywhere in CO and pretty much the continental US. not going to everest anytime soon.
